   In this chapter Feb's "mother" rebuilds her ancient temple, but Feb doesn't like the lesson that's being taught and tries to get her mother to deal with her directly.

   When Feb was five years old, the monster crawled out from underneath her bed and told her a fabulous story. Feb, being Feb, mistook the monster for her long departed mother and for ever after did whatever the monster asked.

   The "monster" of course was Maehea, the Sister of The Dragon.

   Maehea, like all the other Lakhan, is just awakening from centuries of sleep, but unlike most awakenings, or most Lakhan, she remembers.

   And what she remembers most, is Feb.
